Gowran & District Steam & Vintage Club was founded in 1991 by a local group of Steam and Vintage enthuasists. An annual rally has been held in different locations in the district. The objective of the club is to preserve the past for future generations by encouraging the preservation and restoration of everything from our bygone days. The runnning costs of the rally are raised locally and any remaining funds are given back to the local community for various small ventures and individual special cases. Last years Rally was a great success and we're looking forward to a great steam rally in 2011.

The members of the Gowran Steam & Vintage share a great interest in all areas of the steam & vintage movement. Club members travel and exhibit their machinery at local rallies, rallies throughout Ireland, in Northern Ireland and at the Great Dorset Steam Fair in the UK, the largest rally in Europe. Many club members also share a great interest in the collecting the same machinery in a smaller scale.
